Bridal Boxing: A New Sport?
July 27, 2008
By now most of us are familiar with the concept of “trashing the dress,” where the newly married couple go out and take some (typically) awesome photos in the ocean, laying on the ground somewhere that might stain their clothes, or doing really fun things. That was all well and good, but it’s got nothing on the videos I’m including here, I must say.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a bride and groom duke it out with giant, air-filled boxing gloves, while standing in a kiddie pool. There’s three rounds worth…really. Oh, okay. It’s not *really* a bride and groom. But it’s amusing nonetheless.
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Did I mention that the pool was full of baby oil?
Drawing spoofs = success

Looks like getting more than 10 million views (good job, Brubakers!) on your first dance video does more than just spawn a few other people trying to do the same thing … it spawns people playing your video on a screen at their wedding and a pair of bridesmaids pulling off a spoof of said video.
1:37 you’re not getting back
June 22, 2008
Okay, I’m going to steal 1:37 from you right now, and your only chance to get some of it back is to stop this video early. In any case, enjoy the wonderful world of being a “bride” dressed in a gown made of toilet paper. Who knew walking down the hallway (aisle?) could be this…random.
Let’s learn some language

Ross Hill posted some VERY useful links that we should all pay attention to this week. One list is nine words / phrases that women use, the other with nine words / phrases that men use. One of my favorites on the women’s list is “Fine,” which is something I think a lot of guys are guilty of using, and meaning exactly the same thing. As for the guy list, clearly “I’m ready” is the choice, right?
To boot, The Onion enlightens us all with “Man Use Big Word.”
