K-Y wants you try on some dual lubrication
May 1, 2008
While the LAT’s Rosie Mestel chose to have a little fun with K-Y’s announcement about yours+mine, a new lubricant … system(?) that features a purple product for women, a blue product for guys. According to the press release (they used a Multimedia Press Release, too!) that the K-Y folks put out on Wednesday, not only does the stuff glow, but when you combine his + hers, “they add up to a totally new experience.”
I couldn’t track down a straight-up version of the television spot currently running (somehow, it’s nowhere online yet), but the video that they offered up in the MNR has the clip, and you’ve gotta skip through to about 1:25 to see it. It features a husband and wife who need to “schedule” intimacy time, and use the yours+mine and turn into slightly more … interesting individuals, to say the least.
Is this product the solution to what ails a marriage of busy-ness? I don’t think we’re trying to go that far, but maybe the concept of his & hers “personal lubricant” products that change the way the products are viewed isn’t a terrible one. News at 11, I guess we’ll see what happens should any interested Groomify readers try it out.
Keeping blemishes to a minimum

Last week, Tris Hussey shared some pretty awesome tips on getting rid of the zits that might be plaguing your face (among other places). I’ll chime in with a comment that the hot compress (dude, it’s just a towel or washcloth that you get filled with mega-hot water) definitely works on the reg, and is obviously the first recommendation most people who know what they’re talking about give. From personal experience, I’ll say that while this works for me, this Tweezerman blackhead / whitehead remover is by far the most effective tool.
The only trick with the remover is that having help is the way to go. While I’m definitely not a fan of actually participating in the process, I know it works, every single time. Thankfully, my fiancee is on point with it and makes sure to take care of this for me as much as possible. Combine that with a cleanser (and yes, you can use it in the shower) like Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser and Blue Herbal Spot Treatment (after trying a million things, I’ve found Kiehl’s to work so much better than a lot of others - but try ‘em out yourself), and you should be able to keep yourself looking good for that big day - and beyond.
