  • Crystal and Nick share a quick-and-dirty run through of comparisons between platinum, tungsten, and titanium, three popular options for ring shoppers to choose from
  • If you’re wondering what it costs, in general, to keep yourself well-suited (and we mean that literally), then check out Will’s roundup at A Suitable Wardrobe of what buys what (short and sweet, but on point) when it comes to a businessman’s wardrobe
  • Leslie of Leslie-Manning Events, a wedding planning shop in DC, notes an interesting big of news from a local venue used for weddings, namely their drive towards going “green,” and what that might mean going forward.

Need some three-stone rings?

June 23, 2008

The Bargainist posts about Amazon’s 40% off deal. Turns out, buying certain three-stone rings will get you an extra bunch of bucks off.

Just a thought.

Looking for engagement ring inspiration?

cashmoney.pngIf you’re at your wit’s end about what type of engagement ring you should pick out, then look no further than VH1’s roundup of their top 15 celebrity rings. Sure, you’ll go madd crazy broke attempting to recreate celebrity history, but at least she’ll be all OMG about it for a few minutes, right?

Geektastic wedding ring

cat5couple.jpgProps to the fine folks at Engadget for posting about the fancy Cat 5 Compliant Wedding Set of rings over at Etsy. You had thought that what you were picking out as a wedding set was out there, didn’t you? Apparently, you weren’t even close, because this has everything you need to get your network on at the altar, except, perhaps, some ethernet action.

While we’re at it, did you notice Jakob Homan’s comment on the Engadget thread about his wedding band emblazoned - though in a nice way - with binary code? There’s probably a contest or something that we should be running here, but I’m running the other direction for the moment.

Repurposing her old jewelry works for you, too, you know

ExbfjewelryWondering if your first fiancee is looking for some fast cash and ditching your ring on the Internet? Maybe you should check out Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry. Think eBay + a trash-your-ex session, and what do you have? Frankly, probably an opportunity where a ton of dudes are going to buy some “barely used” high-end jewelry that the current possessor has no financial interest in what it really cost. Got your thinking caps on yet?

And yes, I’m perfectly aware that this probably wasn’t the purpose of the site in the first place, but just because DailyCandy distributed it to all the well-connected women out there doesn’t mean that you can’t use it to your advantage.
